My Search for a Healing System
As a child I could feel unexplained energy in my body. I fought with an inner urge in my mind to make everything "right" around me. I felt there was something I could do to ‘make things better’; even though I did not know how.
It wasn’t until I was thirty-five years old that I was drawn to a female acquaintance at a meeting that a crisis arose. When she turned around and took my hand, all my strength left me. I almost collapsed and had to find a seat to sit. Even after regaining my strength I was forced to remain isolated while I pondered what had happened and how I was going to deal with this increasing phenomenon in my life.
I knew immediately that she had pulled my energy to herself for sustenance and my innate wisdom was screaming "Disease!"
I had felt increasing degrees of energy being pulled from my body before the experience. Now I knew that I needed a way to protect myself from what I had began to call ‘energy bandits’.
It is a fact that our bodies create energy in its normal functioning process. And illness in our bodies can deplete that energy or not allow our bodies to produce enough for our well being or cause a break in the flow of energy within the body.
Through practice I was able to ‘fortify’ myself against others draining off my energy. Then I began to pull energy (from outside of me) through myself to others. In doing so I did not have to relinquish my own energy to sustain others.
In my quest to find a way to exercise this ability to assist others in their need to heal, I became an ordained minister and called my work ‘faith healing’. I became a Reiki Master and called it ‘energy work’. I became a Certified Body Talk Practitioner and I call it both ‘energy work’ and ‘innate wisdom work’.
But Body Talk is much more. It is a therapy that allows the body’s energy systems to be re-synchronized so that they operate as nature intended. The International Body Talk Association’s website puts it this way: What do you get when you combine the wisdom of advanced yoga and advaitic philosophy, the insights of modern physics and mathematics, the energy dynamics of acupuncture, the clinical findings of Applied Kinesiology, and western medical expertise? A revolutionary new form of health care called Body Talk.
Body Talk is the fastest growing health care system in the world today. Its basic premise is that our bodies know how to heal themselves. This is done by communication.
Stress causes breakdown in the communication system and we become dis-eased physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.
Body Talk works by asking the body which lines of communication needs to be repaired. Once the body is aware of it, it can restore its’ ability to heal itself. This is because the body and mind are not separate.
Body Talk is safe, non-invasive and can produce results with all types of health issues - often in just a few sessions.
Body Talk Sessions
If you feel a Body Talk session could be of help to you, I am available by phone.
I ask that you first e-mail me about an appointment. I will look at my schedule and offer you alternative times. You may suggest alternative times in your own schedule. Once you ask for a given time slot I will be waiting by the phone for your call. The session may take as little as fifteen minutes to as much as one hour. Your body’s innate intelligence will address its priorities and how fast it can progress at a given time
My cost per session to you will be a flat fee of $60.00 charged to your credit card (or by other arrangements) and the cost of your long distance call.
I would personally recommend a series of 3-5 sessions which are spread out over several weeks or months. If you choose three or more sessions I can offer you a discounted price of $50.00 each. While a single session will be helpful, my experience has shown me that if you are suffering from chronic illness or deep seated emotional pain that you may need more than one or two sessions. Also, when I ask the body (innate wisdom) its priorities for healing, those priorities may be different than what is hurting you at the moment. The body may want to clear out other things before addressing a specific pain or condition.
A person receiving a session can usually identify what the body wants to address when a topic comes up; such as body chemistry, body parts, memories, environment, muscular-skeletal. If a person wants to share with me what it is about, I am always delighted to know that the session makes sense. But it is not necessary to share if you want to keep it personal.
